34 looks unusual on its own — and unremarkable among 37 numbers

Drawn 839 times in 5,702 draws against 770.5 expected, +2.65σ. Testing all 37 numbers at once means about 0.4 should look this way by luck alone, so the threshold tightens to 2.7e-4 and this does not pass it.

How many people play it

Under the crowd model, 34 is picked about 0.86× as often as an indifferent choice — 32nd most popular of 37. That changes nothing about whether it comes up, and everything about how many ways a jackpot on it would be shared.

What this cannot tell you

Nothing here predicts the next draw. A number’s history is a record of a fair machine’s past, and the machine keeps none of it: 34 is drawn with probability 5/37 tonight whatever it did last week.
