Number 20

In North 5 under the 5/34 · since Jan 2025 rules — 641 draws, 5 from 1–34.

124times drawn · chance expected 94 +3.32σ

5draws waiting · a wait this long: 53% for any number

5.2average wait between appearances · chance says 6.8

22longest completed wait · 99% chance of one at least that long

20 looks unusual on its own — and unremarkable among 34 numbers

Drawn 124 times in 641 draws against 94.3 expected, +3.32σ. Testing all 34 numbers at once means about 0.3 should look this way by luck alone, so the threshold tightens to 2.9e-4 and this does not pass it.

Number 20, draw by draw

Drawn 124 times in 641 draws · average wait 5.2 draws · longest completed wait 22 · waiting 5 draws now

a completed wait — darker is longer the wait still running — a lower bound, not a finished gap

Where it lands in a sorted draw

Sort a draw and 20 has a favourite seat — chance gives a large number the high positions more often. That is the shape of sorting, not of the machine.

The company it keeps

Seen most often with these — chance gives every partner about 15.0 shared draws, and the leaders are simply the ones that came out ahead this time.

It has shared a draw with every one of the other 33 numbers; chance expected about 0.0 still unmet by now. Every pair →

How many people play it

Under the crowd model, 20 is picked about 1.28× as often as an indifferent choice — 13th most popular of 34. That changes nothing about whether it comes up, and everything about how many ways a jackpot on it would be shared.

What this cannot tell you

Nothing here predicts the next draw. A number’s history is a record of a fair machine’s past, and the machine keeps none of it: 20 is drawn with probability 5/34 tonight whatever it did last week.
