Number 7

Where it lands in a sorted draw

Sort a draw and 7 has a favourite seat — chance gives a large number the high positions more often. That is the shape of sorting, not of the machine.

• 1st smallest4 · chance 5.2
• 2nd smallest49 · chance 41.7
• 3rd smallest80 · chance 78.2
• 4th smallest33 · chance 41.7
• 5th smallest6 · chance 5.2
